Swatched! Andrea Fullerton: Gemstone Overcoat

Hello there! 

Bit of a random post today as today's swatch is actually a "gemstone overcoat". I guess you could technically call it a glitter topcoat but it's more like a flakie topcoat. The flakes are iridescent, shining various colours depending on how the light hits it. 

ive actually had this polish or a year or two, but not many people have posted about this and I think it's a really underrated topcoat. It's not as obvious as a standard glitter topcoat and almost makes your nails look like marble or some kind of stone. I've Swatched it over Sinful Colours, Be Happy but this polish really outdoes itself when over a black base. The iridescence really comes to life! 

I've only ever seen Andrea Fullerton products in superdrug, and I can't remember how much this is, but I highly recommend it if you want something more subtle than a standard glitter polish. 

Matte Polka Dot

Hello folks! I've still been rather uninspired plus I've managed to misplace my nail art brushes so today's pot is ever simple in all honesty. 

For some reason I'd always done Polk dots in black or white on top of a coloured base, but I'd never thought to do the dots in a darker version of the base. Silly me! Then I thought it'd look nice with a slick of matte topcoat on top. 

For this post I used Essie Lilacism  and Sinful Colours Amethyst. 

I've noticed that the photos I've been posting are ridiculously blurry even though they look decent quality when on my phone. I'm not sure if it's because I used an app to add a watermark and the app messes with the quality or it it's the blogger app I'm using :/ is anyone else having this problem?! It looks normal quality when I'm writing the post though D: 

Swatched! Sinful Colours: Be Happy

Hey guys! Exams are finally over and although they went pretty poopy, I'm just glad they're done! 

Today I've got a sinful colours swatch for you. I've went a bit crazy over these as for £2 you get really decent polishes! 

Be Happy is a really nice almost dusty turquoise/mint green colour, a bit darker than Mint Candy Apple. It's a nice interesting colour and is a bit different to the average mint nail polish. 

I got this opaque in three coats but two coats could easily be done. 

I really like this colour as it's different to your average mint, almost a Cath Kidston kind of colour, vintage and retro :) 

More Sinful Colours

Hey guys, really quick and sparse post today, Myself and Mr Lacquerised have some family problems going on at the moment and that coupled with 3rd year uni exams isn't the best feeling.

I'll be honest and say I'm not entirely sure when I'll get back to posting like normal, things feel a bit poopy right now in all honesty.

Anyways, here's some more Sinful Colours polishes that I picked up a while ago. I haven't got time to properly do swatch posts of each one so I did a quick patch test on some paper.

If you haven't bought these from Boot already then I suggest you do, cos for £2.00, they are really good and pretty much around the same volume as standard polishes!

Very Impromptu Nail Polish Haul!

Quickie post as I've procrastinated enough and I have lots of studying to do. Boo. Anyways, I went for a quick galavanting to Boots for some fresh air/sunshine and I noticed they've started stocking Sally Hanson polishes and Sinful Colours, and of course I had to grab some! The Hanson stand was quite glorious with nail wraps and cuticle care, but the Sinful Colours was a bit lonely and empty looking. Hopefully they get more stock in to attract more folk. They're only £2 a bottle for 15ml so even better for your money than the Collection Hot Look teeny polishes! To sum up, (as my iphone photos are pitiful, I do apologise!) I bought Sinful Colours in Be Happy, Unicorn and Soul Mate. Sally Hansen in Mermaid's Tale. models Own in Fuzzy Peach. And Collection Hot Looks in ELectric Dreams and Milkshake.
